Title: Advanced Data Processing in Multi-instrument Transdisciplinary Engineering: Recent Experience from Meteorology and Climatology
Abstract: Multi-instrument transdisciplinary engineering is essential for solving complex challenges across various scientific and technical fields, as it enables the integration of diverse data sources and expertise for more comprehensive analysis and problem-solving. In this keynote, we focus on recent advancements in multi-instrument data processing, using atmosphere monitoring as a key example. The integration of different measurement tools, particularly in atmospheric research, has significantly improved the accuracy and reliability of meteorological and climatological analyses. This talk will consider the advanced data fusion techniques employed to manage large, heterogeneous datasets from instruments like millimeter-wave radars, disdrometers, microwave radiometers and weather stations.
Building on recent research experience, we will demonstrate the integration of radar data with non-radar observations to generate more detailed insights into cloud structures, precipitation, and other atmospheric phenomena. Examples from field experiments, such as those in Cabauw, the Netherlands, will be presented to illustrate how these techniques enhance the calibration of W-band cloud radar with supplementary sensor data. A demonstration of specialized software for multi-instrument data processing, fusion, and calibration will further highlight the critical role of transdisciplinary engineering in advancing meteorology and climatology, creating the way for improved real-time forecasting and climate monitoring.

Title: Hybrid optimization for medical drones with big data processing using BPSO and GA
Abstract: The need for prompt medical care in conditions of limited access to medical facilities is analyzed, which stimulates the development of innovative solutions based on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A hybrid approach is proposed to optimize medical drones used for patient diagnosis based on a combination of a binary swarm algorithm (BPSO) and a genetic algorithm (GA). The proposed hybridization model of these two methods not only enhances the efficiency of collecting and processing diagnostic data but also enables effective handling of large data volumes, while improving the accuracy and speed of diagnosis. The advantages of the proposed approach in comparison with the individual uses of BPSO and GA are presented. The results of using the hybrid algorithm for further improvement of autonomous medical drone systems, in particular in emergency situations, are presented.
